Joel is a Vice President and Portfolio Manager for Pinnacle Financial Advisors (PFA). He joined PFA in October 2015. Previously, Joel worked as a Financial Advisor for Penney, Murray & Associates— a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. and a preferred financial planning provider for Great Southern Financial Services.  Joel has been a financial planner consecutively for over 13 years.  Joel graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Personal Financial Planning from the college of Human Environmental Sciences.  Joel was born and raised in Springfield, MO. His community involvement includes currently serving on the Boards of the Developmental Center of the Ozarks and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  Joel has participated in the MS 150 charity ride to raise monies for the cure of Multiple Sclerosis consecutively for over 10 years.  He attends the Venues and Kingsway churches.  Joel is married to Jessica. They enjoy their daughter, Dylan, and a son, Cyrus. In his free time, Joel enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and is passionate about biking with friends and family.
